The university Arboretum carefully cultivates each plant to guarantee every New England season is picturesque and our campus is biodiverse. They arrange a diverse ecosystem of plants that peak at various times of year- their season of interest.
Fitzgerald Park in Mission Hill is close to becoming a level I arboretum, thanks to the help of Northeastern students and staff.
The Mills campus in Oakland will soon undergo a tree inventory process to better understand and document the many species present that will be added to Northeastern’s global arboretum collections.
