Advancing sustainability and resilience, through research, teaching, experiential learning, and community engagement, is a key priority for Northeastern University.
During this time of COVID-19 related disruption and social change, we are launching a university-wide planning process to update Northeastern’s sustainability and resilience goals and guide the University’s future innovations. The world has changed a lot since Northeastern’s current Climate Action Plan was developed in 2010.
Anticipating future climate disruptions and connecting sustainability and resilience planning with research, learning, and community-wide engagement is more important than ever. Through a participatory community process, we want to create a bold new vision and roadmap for climate resilience innovation and sustainability at Northeastern.
As we practice physical distancing and stay safe, we invite you to share your ideas and suggestions on advancing sustainability and resilience throughout the Northeastern community. To inform the planning process, we are seeking input from students, faculty, staff, alumni and community members on which programs and innovations should be prioritized and how Northeastern can enhance our social impact.
This is an initial step of community engagement for sustainability and resilience planning at Northeastern.
